Alliance and Half-Empty Cup
Editor in Chief
There are some seen and
unseen achievements achieved by the UIA that can not be counted or
surveyed in this place easily.
It seems that the nature
of the media in all directions can only be exciting and impressive
through its focus on the negatives and the empty half of the cup,
whereas the pros and the other full half of the cup do not mean anything
to the media as if it can not be mentioned.
We do not contend
stubbornly or deny that the political action is not free of the lapses
and failures in the time of the absence of the revelation and
Infallibility and the claim that the United Iraqi Alliance is far from
the mistakes and slips, despite the congestion and the complexities of
the political action can not be accepted or imagined, but to emphasize
some of the failures and ignore all the visible and invisible
achievements is far from fairness, objectivity and reality.
With all that has been
said about the United Iraqi Alliance by the advising and criticizing
mouths and pens and inaccurate sentences and incorrect allegations, the
Alliance remains the accepted popular demand and that its achievements
in the previous phase proved significant merit and fitness in containing
the crises and challenges and using them for the national interest and
unity.
A reference should be made
here to the invisible achievements, which are many, but have not
received sufficient attention from the media for political reasons, and
these achievements could be much more important than the visible ones
even though they are still not clear for some people, especially that
the sense of the human beings interacts more with the visible things to
call in the memory, conscience and seeing.
Maintaining the unity of
the country and saving it form the risk of the sectarian strife was one
of the invisible accomplishments of the United Iraqi Alliance, which
succeeded with its equilibrium and conscious practices to forestall the
enemy and save the country and the people of the evils of the civil war
and sectarian strife planned by Al Qaeda and Saddam's Baath according to
the confessions of the terrorist Abu Omar Al-Baghdadi made recently.
Success in forming a
government of national unity, involving the rest of the components,
listening to the perceptions and visions of the rest of the components
on the sovereign ministries, success in enforcing security in hot zones
and dealing with the sons of the homeland with a national spirit and
without being influenced by the sectarian tightening were great
achievements of the United Iraqi Alliance, which can not be denied only
by the spiteful or stubborn.
