The last visits of Sayyed Abdul Aziz Al-Hakeem the leader of the Iraqi unified coalition and the Head of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council to Washington D.C , can be called the visit of independence and Sovereignty , and it possesses as a distinctive features the following important signals.

The first shining signal is that the character of the visitor , because sayyed Al-Hakeem is a well-known Iraqi national and religious personality in the Islamic and Arabic world, and he is the son of the Grand Reference institution (Al-marjaayah) and he is a sayyed descends from Prophet Mohammed (saaw )  and from a noble Alawi Family, he is distinguished by a highness of lineage and the long struggle against tyranny and injustice of Saddam's regime , these brave stances has cost Al-Hakeem family many martyrs, moreover that the sayed Al-Hakeem since more than forty years has confronted the most savage, criminal and dictatorial regime that is known in the history, and after the Baathist's regime collapse on 9 April ,Al-Hakeem has dealt with a big issues and carried the burden of defending on the independence, Sovereignty of Iraq and freedom, dignity of its people. for that reason, the importance of the visitor was obvious , this led to make the American hosts negotiate with him by highest level, because he was a national leader and a great symbol for Iraqi people.

And the second shining signal is that the sayed Al-Hakeem has gone to the most powerful country in the contemporary history, where most of world leaders are wishing to visit Washington and erects strategical relations with the U.S.

but sayed Al-Hakeem had responded the presidential invitation , Americans officials have paid attention to sayed Al-Hakeem as the American president has done, he had halted his vacation to meet him , and the Al-Hakeem meetings with the other American decision makers were numerous , this was a proof on the perception and consciousness of the Americans officials on the importance of the visitor

And the third shining signal was not a far from what sayed Al-Hakeem has carried with him from Iraqi people's concerns to future ambitions, so the arming of Iraq's army to defend the Iraqi territories after the departure of the multi-national forces has been the first point on the table.  and the second negotiated point was the confirmation of reliance on the Iraqi people ,because the previous strategy has been successful, which sayed Al-Hakeem had previously requested from the American officials at his former visit to Washington last year .So the Iraqi people can solve all the troubles that they faces them, if they had a chance to fight the terrorism, then they can begin the reconstruction of Iraq.

Also another very important issues was put forward such as security progress, the relations with neighbor states, the national reconciliation and bolstering of the Iraqi people unity.

And the most important point was the sayed Al-Hakeem's request to lift the injustice of the chapter seven of the UN resolution number 661 which was issued following the Saddam's invasion of Kuwait on 2 Aug 1990,this resolution was not debated another time after the collapse of regime. Then Iraq and Al-Hakeem do not see the independence and Sovereignty are achieved without abrogation of this article of the above-mentioned UN resolution. The last shining signal in this visit is that the timing of the visit , it has come in a sensitive stage, after signing on a good intention memorandum between Americans and Iraqis, and before negotiations which the Iraqi government intends to perform a cooperation agreement, it's come before the Iraqi Government request to specify the next year as a last year to presence of multi-national forces. Then we found that this visit was a historical and can be called as a visit of the Iraq's independence and Sovereignty.
